FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique is an affordable, proven, minimally invasive outpatient procedure by which follicular unit grafts, each consisting of a number of hair follicles, are individually removed from the naturally stronger areas on the back of the scalp (donor area) and transplanted into the bald and thinning areas (transplantation area).
FUE is the most common technique for hair restoration surgery in the world, as it offers high satisfaction rates thanks to the aesthetically pleasing natural hair growth it enables.
Sapphire FUE
Sapphire FUE uses blades made of the sapphire gemstone to open channels on the transplantation area. As a result of its properties, sapphire allows for the blade to have a sharp V-shaped edge. Sapphire tipped instruments allow a skilled surgeon to create channels at perfect angles that would otherwise be impossible to achieve with steel blades.
These blades are harder and sharper than the regular blades. The precise cuts allowed by these instruments create surgical incisions that heal quicker and better than those made by steel. This plays a role in decreasing the likelihood and severity of the short-term complications that might be experienced.
DHI
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) involves the use of a special tool called Choi implanter to directly transplant the collected grafts into the scalp. This application allows the grafts to remain outside of the scalp for a shorter time.
One of the most prominent advantages of this method is that the patient does not need to fully shave his or her head for the operation.
